Finding the Perfect Photographer

Tips and Tricks for Finding the Perfect Photographer

There are five major turning points in your life. The first is when you took your first step, the second, your first word, third, first day of school, fourth, your wedding day, and fifth, your first child. Every one of these moments should be documented not only in you heart and mind but through the lens of a camera for everyone else to share and remember for generations to come. Although you may not be able to grab a professional photographer to capture your first step or first word, you can get the perfect photographer for your wedding day using these few tips as your guidelines.

Tip #1
Professional is the Way to Go

Although it may be tempting to grab your 1st cousin who just purchased a nice new camera and will shoot your wedding photos for free, finding a professional to take care of your photos is definitely an investment worth taking. You want your special day to be documented correctly and flawlessly which you can get from someone who has been trained to do just that. Not to mention, your cousin will want to enjoy the wedding with the rest of your family and not on the side lines taking pictures.

Tip #2
Capturing the Moment

Now that you have your eye in the direction of a professional, its time to do your research. You need to make sure that whoever you find knows how to capture the moment. And I’m not talking about  the exchanging of vows and ending kiss with you and your spouse. I’m talking about the laughter between friends, the love between your new joined families, and everything else in between. There’s more to a wedding than just the ceremony and you will want to remember it all. Query samples on photographers you are considering and look at what moments they tend to capture at weddings and compare it to what you want to remember on your special day.

Tip #3
Innovative, Creative, Imaginative

At your wedding, you want it to be as original as you and your loving companion. So your photographer should be able to capture it in just as unique ways. Your photographer should be able to capture your personalities and characteristics in each shot and use creative angles and ideas to get the perfect scene created.

Tip #4
The Season of Your Choice

Every bride has her own preference as to whether she wants a fall, winter, spring, or summer wedding. But weather conditions can sometimes have an effect on the quality of a photo if the user behind the camera does not have experience with it. Weddings will sometimes have to face rain, snow, or even extremely sunny days and without an experienced photographer who knows how to utilize these conditions to make a beautiful photo, you  could end up with a bunch of photos you can’t even make out. So ask your photographer if they have ever done photo shots during the season you have chosen, and if you think there is a chance of snow or rain, confirm they are capable to handle those conditions.

Now that you’ve got your experienced, unique, professional photographer who knows how to capture the right moment, it’s time for you to button up, pin down, and take a deep breath as you take each step during this life changing moment. With the ease of knowing your professional is capturing all the important memories on this special day, you can enjoy the night now and for years to come.
