One Day, Endless Possibilities
Simple tips to help your wedding hair and makeup look perfect
Find a hairstylist and makeup artist who is qualified and excited about working with brides. Consider doing a consultation and trial run with your stylist. This will ensure that you both are on the same page and feel comfortable and prepared. Your stylist can then discuss what look would best suit your wedding theme and facial features. Showing your stylist a few pictures of things you like will also help.
Schedule your beauty services in advance, don’t wait until the last minute. Even though you are the bride, the world doesn’t revolve around you and stylists are busy. Show up to your appointments on time and be organized and prepared with payments.
Your entire bridal look should say something about you, it should fit your personality and style. Keep in mind your wedding location, time and theme. For instance; if you’re having an Evening Glam theme in a fancy restaurant, you may want to do your makeup more dramatic and wear your hair up in a sophisticated style. If you’re doing a small Beach themed wedding in the afternoon, you might wear a flowing gown, light makeup with bronzed cheeks and loose waves in your hair.
Gently exfoliate your face, lips and neck with a clean, wet washcloth. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and will help your makeup look smooth. Refrain from trying any new facial products before your big day.
Take care of yourself. If you are prone to getting bags or dark circles under your eyes, try refreshing slices of cool cucumbers and be sure to drink lots of water and get plenty of rest. Eat healthy food and avoid drinking carbonated beverages.
